Sonipat,(kuldeep ranga): May 06. District Town Planner Officer (DTP) Ajmer Singh said that as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar, a strict campaign is being run by the administration to demolish the illegal colonies and illegal constructions being developed in the district at the initial stage itself.
In the same sequence, on Tuesday, kutcha roads, 10 DPCs (damp proof courses), 8 boundary walls and another illegal construction built in the illegal colony being developed on about 8 acres of land on the revenue property of village Patti Muslim were demolished.
DTP Ajmer appealed to the general public to not buy plots in illegal colonies by getting lured by land mafias. No basic facilities are provided by the government in such colonies, due to which people's hard-earned money goes waste. He said that before buying a plot, one must check whether permission has been obtained from the concerned department for the construction of the colony or not.
The DTP also clarified that no illegal colony will be allowed to be built in the district. The department is keeping a strict vigil on all areas of the district and if any person develops an illegal colony, strict action will be taken against him under the Urban Area and Controlled Area Act.
He informed that in this regard, any person can contact the District Town Planner office located on the first floor of HSVP Complex in Sector-15 for more information or complaint.
